Characteristics of Twice-Excepional Children
The following lists represent characteristics that are typical of many children who are gifted and who also have a disability. However, these lists do not represent characteristics which all such children possess. Twice-exceptional children do not form a single, simple, homogenous group. Just as we should view all students, twice-exceptional children are a highly diverse group of learners. (Elizabeth Nielsen, 1994 University of New Mexico)
